Objectives

The CRIFOR, (Centro di Ricerca e Formazione per l'Ottimizzazione su Reti), is a research and training centre of the Dipartimento di Ingegneria del Territorio (DIT) (Department of Land Engineering) of the University of Cagliari, founded to promote the collaboration of Italian and foreign researchers. It has the following objectives: :

The CRIFOR is intended as a research structure open to the contribution of the national and international scientific community, and to the collaboration of academic and industrial research institutions in pursuing its objectives.

The CRIFOR To this purpose CRIFOR intends to activate agreements of national and international scientific co-operation, and it will have an International Scientific Council that will periodically assess the quality of its research activity and applications.

The CRIFOR,In the compilation and development of application software CRIFOR’s initial orientation will be in the following sectors:

CRIFOR intends to collect, validate, develop, test, and make available Network Optimisation software, while at the same time guarantee its accuracy, efficiency, and portability. To this purpose, an Internet site will be made available to allow individual researchers, research and development centres, and higher training centres, to access the software and the documentation. The software will be managed by the CRIFOR development team.
